Refreshed Tesla Model 3 May Have Just Leaked on Reddit

Someone has apparently snapped a photo of the upcoming refreshed Tesla Model 3  – and there’s a lot of Tesla Roadster in it.

Ever since the news dropped that Tesla would officially set up shop right here in Malaysia, people have taken a more profound interest in the brand.

With this in mind, this bit of news might be of some interest to local Tesla fans, because it seems someone has sneakily snapped a photo of the highly secret refreshed Tesla Model 3.

According to roadandtrack.com,  a photo of the long-awaited Tesla Model 3 facelift was published on Wednesday evening in the Tesla subreddit section.

However, there’s just no way to confirm it, as Tesla dissolved their PR team in 2020. However, just like how roadaandtrack pointed out, the headlights do have some likeness to the now-delayed Tesla Roadster, and that is probably the biggest giveaway.

According to R&T, there have been rumours tracing back to 2022 suggesting Tesla was planning to revamp its most popular sedan with a refresh in the second half of 2023.

Back in December, spy shots surfaced of a Tesla Model 3 with front-end camouflage testing in California, but that’s all we’ve seen of the illusive model 3 refresh so far.

Official MG Cyberster design revealed in Chinese government filings. British roadsters reborn?

Lekaed filings of MG’s upcoming car have been revealed, and we’re glad to see that MG is going back to making sportscars.

The revival of the MG brand under SAIC has been met with mixed reviews.

On the one hand, SAIC has been successful in resurrecting the brand and introducing new models that appeal to a range of consumers, particularly in the Chinese market.

On the other hand, some critics have expressed concerns that the new MG cars lack the same character and soul as the original British-made models.

Well, SAIC must have heard these critics and is trying to prove them wrong because if these leaked filings from the Chinese government are anything to go by, MG is on the verge of producing one of their most loved cars historically, a two-door roadster.

Autocar has brought to light these leaked filings of the MG Cybertser, their sleek soft-top two-seater sportscar. Of course, with everything these days, it’s fully electric, hence the name Cyberster we suppose.

If we look at the pictures alone, there’s definitely an impression that the Cyberster is a small sports car, but if its 4,535mm long, 1,913mm wide and 1,329mm high dimensions is anything to go by, it is much larger than the Mazda MX-5. Autocar also said it’d probably be slightly larger than the Porsche Boxster 718.

There’s also some details of the Cyberster’s powertrain, where apparantly it will be offered in both single – and dual-motor specifications, with up to 536 hp.

With anything Electric vehicle, we should never expect it to be lightweight, and it’s no different here as the Cyberster in its lightest form is still double the weight of the lightest Mazda MX-5.

The Cyberster will apparently be launched next year and we’re glad that SAIC are making MG sportscars once again, as their most popular car in history is arguably the MG MGB.

The MGB was a two-door sports car produced from 1962 to 1980, and it quickly became popular with drivers and enthusiasts for its sporty performance, sleek design, and affordable price.

The MGB was available in both roadster and coupe versions and featured a sturdy body, responsive handling, and a powerful engine. The car was a huge success for MG, with over 500,000 units sold during its 18-year production run, and it remains a popular choice for classic car collectors and enthusiasts today.

2023 Hyundai Creta now open for booking in Malaysia

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has announced that they’ve officially opened the booking for its upcoming Hyundai Creta model.

Coming real soon in 2023, the Hyundai Creta B-segment SUV has been spotted several times in the past here in Malaysia, and with this announcement, it is official – the Creta is coming and it’s coming soon.

According to Jeffrey Gan, Sime Darby Motors Managing Director of Retail and Distribution for Malaysia, “With so much practicality and space contained within a compact footprint, it’s not difficult to see why SUVs continue to rise in popularity, both globally and in Malaysia.”

“The Hyundai Creta illustrates this perfectly, and we look forward to giving Malaysians more choices in the realm of SUVs upon its introduction, which is just around the corner!” added Mr. Gan.

Targeted at the young and young-at-heart, the Hyundai Creta offers boldness and individuality, particularly via its Parametric Jewel front end. Hyundai prides itself on the Creta’s front-end design with its hidden LED daytime-running lights and bumper-mounted LED projector headlamps which are said to portray a stunning visual signature at night.

Interior-wise, HSDM has confirmed that the 2023 Hyundai Creta here in Malaysia will come with specs like a 10.25-inch TFT LCD cluster, an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen (wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay included), six airbags, and the latest Hyundai SmartSense safety suite.

If power is of concern, the Hyundai Creta in other markets is powered by the Smarstream G 1.5-litre NA four-cylinder engine which produces 115PS and 144Nm of torque. For Malaysia, we will most likely get the same specs as well (unless they decide to throw us a curveball like a 1.0-turbo or a 2.0 NA which Hyundai has in its powertrain arsenal).

More details will be released soon, but for now, you may visit or contact the nearest authorised dealer to place your booking.

Limited Run BMW XM Red Label is literally red lipstick on a….BMW

Alongside the launch of the BMX XM and XM Label Red next week, BMW will also be launching a limited run XM Label Red, featuring red accents.

Considering that BMW has labelled the XM as their M Flagship vehicle, it has a lot to live up to.

While its M car-like 490hp twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that’s aided by a 196PS electric motor is probably enough for ordinary mortals – BMW felt that its power wasn’t enough, which is why they have created the XM Label Red, a fire-breathing version of the XM for those who are just pure adrenaline junkies.

The BMW XM is officially making its global debut at the Shanghai Motor Show next week, and along side it, they will also be launching 500 limited run XM Label Red Edition, featuring a frozen carbon black metallic exterior finished with red accents around the grille and wheels.

BMW says, the ordinary XM Label Red responds to the needs and desires of a global target group of individualists – customers with a taste for extrovert lifestyle and a passion for ultimate performance in a car reaching beyond traditional conventions.

The big question is however, who is the limited-run Label Red car for? Those who are exactly what they have mentioned but love the added attention? Perhaps the same people who love the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento because the livery and colourway all remind us of that car.

That car however is non-street-approved hyper car which was born solely for the track, but this however feels like an XM with cosmetic changes, just in case nobody really buys the XM Label Red Edition, because, as we mentioned before, the regular XM is more than enough for ordinary mortals.

Flames destroy 9 motorcycles, 4 electric scooters in front of Suria KLCC

Nine motorcycles and four electric scooters were destroyed in a fire in front of the Suria KLCC shopping centre, this afternoon.

Shoppers and tourists enjoying a peaceful Thursday afternoon were left aghast as a ploom of black smoke bellowed from Jalan Ampang across from Avenue K.

It was fortunate that nobody was injured and that the damage was limited to only property due to the fire erupting in a relatively isolated area not connected to or shaded by any larger structures.

A spokesman for the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department Operation Centre said that, in the 3.45 pm incident, a total of 15 firefighters, with three fire engines from Tun Razak and Keramat fire stations, rushed to the scene.

The spokesman said that, on arrival, the firefighters found roaring fire engulfing nine motorcycles and four electric scooters in front of Suria KLCC shopping centre. They put out the flames within 20 minutes at 4:04pm.

At this time the cause of the fire has yet to be confirmed though a short circuit is the likeliest culprit, perhaps sparking the petrol in one of the motorcycles due to a leak. Video footage shared at the scene showed that the fire orginated from one of the parked motorcycles before spreading to the electric scooters to the side.

That said, serious electrical fires are a growing concern in electric vehicles as well, caused by damage done to the battery enclosure. These kinds of flames are notoriously difficult to extinguish.
